About

“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf;
    in the morning he devours the prey,
    in the evening he divides the plunder.”
          – Genesis 49:27 New King James Version

The Tribe of Benjamin was referred to as a ravenous wolf in character, but traditional interpretations often consider this statement in reference to the might of a specific member of the tribe. Either the champion Ehud, King Saul, Mordecai of the Esther narrative or in Christian circles, the apostle Paul.

Just as the character of the Tribe of Benjamin had a variety of traditional interpretations, a natural interpretation of the passage reveals its true context, namely Benjamin’s character. In the same way, this site aims to look at, study, discuss, teach and perpetuate the true nature of the Word of God using a homiletic, literal and/or devotional theological approach.
